I enjoyed how this page-turning short offers a twist on the usual vacation book: City girl Sophia doesn’t actually want to go on the cruise to the Galápagos Islands her boyfriend has planned. But she’s committed to him, so she agrees… even when he drops out at the very last moment.
The cruise is rustic, to say the least, but Sophia finds friends, revels in the awe-inspiring views, and comes to important realizations about not only her boyfriend, but herself.
When her boyfriend bails at the last minute, a New York woman embarks on their couples’ cruise alone to find that maybe the person she was supposed to fall in love with was herself.
After a string of bad dates and no prospects, Sophia Othonos has finally hit the jackpot: an actual nice guy. When he suggests a romantic getaway, she’s sure they’re about to take the next step toward their future.
