David Anthony Durham is an American novelist whose work spans historical fiction and fantasy. He is known for vivid, immersive storytelling that ranges from the American West and the Civil War era to ancient Carthage, Rome, and epic secondary worlds. His acclaimed Acacia Trilogy helped establish him as a major voice in fantasy, while his historical novels reflect a strong interest in overlooked lives and pivotal moments from the past. He teaches in the Stonecoast MFA Program in Creative Writing.
