Danzy Senna is an American novelist and essayist focusing on race, gender and American identity. Her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Vogue, and The New York Times. A professor of English at the University of Southern California, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband, the award-winning writer Percival Everett.
