For eight years, peace has reigned over the Empire of the Sapphire Throne. From her home on a world she created for herself, Karalyn Holdfast grows ever more isolated and remote. She watches over the peace she forced upon the Empire and the Dominion, but more and more she retreats into the worlds of the Sextant, neglecting her family and her friends.
