Vengeance on a Slow Boil

It's been a year since the fight that put Rat King Skite at permanent odds with Lord Palora, and things have changed in Verida. The stone elf threat is gone, yet the city is falling to pieces, and people are hungry.

Meanwhile, Skite still has a score to settle with Palora, and Ella's life is in danger if she leaves the Westhauser estate. While Skite works on a plan for dealing with Palora, Sam brings him news of a warehouse where goods always come in, but never seem to come out again. Which leads to the obvious conclusion that this might be just the score that Skite needs to get the Black Docks through the lean times and stronger on the other side.

As they get deeper into the heist, Skite discovers that elements of his past that he'd long forgotten are involved, and that there may be more to this warehouse, these goods, than he could have possibly imagined. The city is on edge, threatening to tip into chaos, and Skite and the crew have an opportunity to influence what's going to happen next. And maybe make a tidy little profit on the side.
