Charles Frazier

Charles Frazier is the award-winning author of Cold Mountain, an international bestseller that won the National Book Award and was later adapted into an Oscar-winning film and an acclaimed opera. For more than twenty-five years, he has written bestselling literary fiction translated into over two dozen languages. His novels include Thirteen Moons, winner of the SIBA Book Award and the Pat Conroy Southern Book Prize; Nightwoods, a literary thriller set in 1960s North Carolina; and Varina, an instant New York Times bestseller. Frazier grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
