Catherine Asaro is a Nebula Award–winning novelist with a Ph.D. in chemical physics from Harvard. A former professional dancer, she writes science fiction, fantasy, and near-future thrillers, including The Quantum Rose and The Vanished Seas. Her short fiction has earned major award recognition. An advocate for women in STEM, she has also served as president of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
