Byrd Nash

Byrd Nash was born in Oklahoma City and grew up with a love of reading, trees, and horses, spending part of her childhood in Ohio before returning to Oklahoma. With a degree in Journalism and Professional Writing, she worked as a reporter and editor for various newspapers before becoming the first journalist to serve as director of the Forest Heritage Center in Beavers Bend State Park. Alongside raising two kids, she ran a children’s party business and taught horseback riding lessons. She now lives in Campton Hills, Illinois, with her husband and enjoys visits from her grown children who keep coming back home.
