Ben Coes is a New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of international espionage thrillers, including Power Down, Coup d’État, The Last Refuge, Independence Day, First Strike, Trap the Devil, The Russian, and The Island. A graduate of Columbia University and winner of the Bennett Cerf Memorial Prize, he previously worked in the Reagan White House and later served as a speechwriter during the Gulf War. Coes has also worked in the energy industry and founded two companies. He lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts, with his wife and four children.
