Barbara Howe is the author of the Reforging series, including her debut novel The Locksmith. Originally from North Carolina, she spent much of her career as a software engineer in New Jersey before relocating to Wellington, New Zealand, where she now works in the film industry. Her writing blends a love of logic with a passion for storytelling, shaped in part by her frustration with poorly written heroines and a drive to imagine better. When she’s not writing or coding, Barbara enjoys life in a home filled with books, games, jigsaw puzzles, and the occasional interstellar daydream.
