As twilight descends, a mysterious man appears, playing the lute. Instead of draining her blood, he steals a kiss and sets her free. Lucia can't stop thinking about that kiss, and to make matters worse, the runes on her skin begin to itch and glow.

Driven by the need for answers, she sneaks out to strike a deal with the enigmatic man who plays the lute. He's devilish and dangerous, and everything a priestess like her should run from. So why is her heart conflicted and why does she contemplate breaking her vows to indulge in forbidden love?
