Alex Pheby is a British novelist whose work spans literary fiction and fantasy. His novels have earned major critical recognition, including a Wellcome Book Prize shortlist and the Republic of Consciousness Prize, and he is also known for Mordew, the opening volume of an ambitious fantasy trilogy. His writing is marked by dark imagination, psychological depth, and a willingness to move between genres. He lives in London with his wife and children and teaches at the University of Greenwich.
