Aimee Bender

Aimee Bender is the author of The Girl in the Flammable Skirt, An Invisible Sign of My Own, Willful Creatures, The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, The Color Master, and The Butterfly Lampshade. Her work has received numerous honors, including a New York Times Notable Book distinction, the SCIBA Award, and an Alex Award, and has been translated into sixteen languages. Her short fiction has appeared in Granta, Harper’s, The Paris Review, and on This American Life and Selected Shorts. She lives in Los Angeles and teaches creative writing at USC.
